Growing Together to Support Children Better
Temenos offers seminars, training, workshops, coaching, and supervision for schools, educators, education staff, parents, students, and communities who want to strengthen how they support children's learning, development, and well-being.
Every school and community is different, so Temenos does not use one package for everyone. The theme, depth, type of activity, case studies, duration, and participants can all be adjusted to the needs and context of each institution.
Why Does Professional Development Matter?
The quality of education depends not only on the curriculum, but also on the capacity of the adults who support children. A review of 35 studies by Darling-Hammond, Hyler, and Gardner (2017) found that effective professional development usually focuses on relevant content, involves active learning and collaboration, models effective practice, offers coaching and expert support, makes room for feedback and reflection, and continues over time.
Families are an important part of children's education too. A meta-analysis by Barger and colleagues (2019) of 448 studies covering 480,830 families found that parents' involvement in education is linked to children's academic, social, and emotional adjustment. Building the capacity of both teachers and parents helps children receive more consistent support.
Formats
Seminar & Webinar. A structured presentation to introduce, deepen, or raise awareness of a theme. Suitable for teachers, parents, students, communities, and large audiences.
Training & Workshop. A more hands-on program with discussion, case studies, simulation, practice, reflection, or planning strategies that can be used in real settings.
Coaching & Supervision. Support for individuals or small groups who want to reflect on their practice, talk through challenges, build their skills, or get ongoing support putting ideas into practice. Groups of teachers or professionals can ask for this directly; it does not need to come through a school.
Parent Seminar & Workshop. A program for parents, organized by a school, a community, or a parent group, with material matched to the children's stage of development and the families' needs.

Programs Can Continue Over Time
Building capacity is not always done in a single seminar. Where it helps, Temenos can design a series that moves from understanding to practice and then to support in applying what has been learned.
Seminar → Workshop → Training Series → Coaching → Supervision
